Residential Weekends: There is the possibility of two Residential Weekends throughout the year. This will depend on the number of interested course members. Here, course members have the opportunity to interact further with each other in a living-learning situation. The weekend consists of structured exercises, relaxation and mindfulness, emotional focusing, small groups, and good fun. The dates for the Residential Weekends in 2012 are listed below - July 27 to 29 - The Holy Cross Centre, Templestowe
Social Activities: From time to time, different social activities are organised. At the end of each term there is a ‘Supper night’ break-up organised by the Facilitators. There are also film evenings, the occasional bush walk, bike ride and small group dine-outs.

Silent Retreat Weekends: There are four Silent Retreat Weekends throughout the year, one in each school term. The major features of the Retreats are Silence, Reflection and Meditation. Each Retreat is conducted in Silence, to enable participants to remain undisturbed within the framework of their own experience. Each Retreat incorporates Reflection on a number of 'extracts' from one particular school of thought and/or practice associated with one of the major spiritual traditions. Each Retreat has eight meditation sessions, consisting of a minimum of thirty minutes of uninterrupted meditation, following the reading of each Reflective extract. Participants are encouraged to 'keep in touch' with the variety of associations and patterns that emerge in their awareness during the course of the weekend. Writing materials are provided to help note and extend these associations. The dates for Silent Retreat Weekends in 2012 are listed below. Term 2 June 8– 11 (long weekend) |
